Was Andrew Cuomo being truthful
I read Governor Cuomo denial of alleged sexual harassment charges. It was a very weak denial. He tries to minimize his actions and also weaves a lie within a truthful statement.
He didn't address the two women by name, "I never touched anyone inappropriately," who is anyone? He uses the word "never" using the word "never" takes up a whole lifetime. He didn't address these recent accusations directly. Using the word "never" weakens his statement. I also would like to know what Governor Cuomo considers to be "inappropriate." What he considers not inappropriate may be very inappropriate to others.
He is attempting to minimize his actions. He wants people to believe he was just being a playful soul that meant no harm. Asking a woman to play strip poker and asking questions about her sexual wants and needs is not what I call playful banter. Also asking if this twenty five year old would have sex with an older man. He was probing to see if she would take him up on his no so obvious indirect sexual advances. If she did I am sure he would have been running around his office in his boxer shorts. He never comes out and states "no I didn't do this, I didn't harass or touch Ms. Boylan or Ms. Bennett.
Do I believe Andrew Cuomo was just being a playful soul, no I do not.
